Then hack the crap out of it and with a little bit of messing around you can
watch avi files stored on your pc on your xbox linked up to your tv.
A friend of mine has done this and it is quite amazing.

Advantages?
PS2 has a HUGE library of games, but it's older tech, so they visually
don't look as good as ones coded properly for the other 2 - online games
are coming out more and more now - plays DVDs, but the DVD laser isn't
the best
Xbox has Live, which is works incredibly well - the HD quality is
amazing when done well, but obviously you've got to have a HD TV <g> -
simplest way to play R2 DVDs is to get an Xbox and a UK remote ;) - the
controller break-away cable is a fantastic idea
GameCube is the smallest of the systems, and uses the smallest discs,
but the games are still fantastic - also has the WaveBird, which is the
best controller around, bar none (as long as you overlook the lack of
Rumble) - also the cheapest of the Big 3
Disadvages?
PS2 is the least reliable of the machines - Sony even give 90 days
warranty, so what does that say? If you get one, get a store replacement
warranty! Also the most expensive of the 3
Xbox is damn huge! It's the largest, but is meant to be the most
powerful (big debate about whether the GC is as powerful :P)
GC doesn't have the support for on-line gaming that the others do
(something like 2-3 games at the moment)
Which one to get?
We have all 3 - I play the PS2 some 1 game at the moment, GC for about
2-3 and Xbox for several
Most used? At the moment it's a toss up between the GC and the PS2 as
I'm "going through" one game on each...
