BTW, i saw "History of the World Part I" last night. I chuckled at a few parts. But it wasn't very funny. I did laugh at the part where Caesar called that dude a faggot (who was obviosly very....errr...<CFPCFILTER>fruity</CFPCFILTER>), cos it was so unexpected haha. When he did it a second time tho, I felt a LITTLE uncomfortable. Cos to me faggot is a strong word, and it will have to be perfectly executed in order to cause laughter in me hehe. I would be slightly uncomfortable if everyone started using that word the same way i use "gay" (I'm not gay, btw!). So I have an idea of what Deanna might feel like.

broborb,
I think Deanna was pointing out that your use of the word gay is at someone
else's expense, even if there are no "gays" present. If you were saying it
in jest to a gay person that you knew that might be different....
I don't think Deanna is taking a puritanical position, and I think we all
hate having our language proscribed...say what you want, please!
I would die to defend people's rights to say what they want... but the
things some people say aren't very enlightened. Just cause zillions of flies
do, I ain't going to eat s**t if I can help it!
Patrick
PS. BTW, that sounds like one kickass music system you have...very cool!

Well it's kinda like people in the 1800's finding skirts and legs very
offensive. But look at all the crap we can handle today! And also, I dont
think ONE person decides what gay means. It just happen to turn into
something hehe
