is a lot of other online games.
The article did not say that you could NOT keep a copy of the game, it
stated what the future might be like. Not that this is going to be the exact
future guidelines.
That would be like wright brothers saying we aim to build a machine that can
fly. But because it doesn't give specifics, you are going to assume it will
have no wings and people will not fly because it will never work.
Don't give me examples you can not backup, give me something like well if
people are not able to keep a copy of the game it might not take off. Or if
I have to pay for the content (same content) more than once it might not
take off.
Which BTW I agree with, there are many things that will need to be worked
out on that model, but believe me Game Publishers are looking at these ideas
and examples and following the way the music and movie industry is looking
at pay per view. I can buy music online for keeps and movies is right there
as well, so why should games be excempt from this.
Do you just like arguing the fact that you wouldn't because the article is
the bible.

Let me ask you one last thing though:
Would you purchase a console that wouldn't let you use physical media to
load games, would require a broadband connection just to be able to play
games, would have a limited selection of games, would require a credit card
to purchase games, would impose limits on the number of times you played the
game or the length of time you could play it, and wouldn't let you actually
own any games that you've purchased?
Because that's what that article that Angel brought up was talking about. I
can't see any sane person buying something like that.

Philip,
This guy talks only as if that is what he would do, and not what the general
public would actually do.
He proved that in a previous thread, the phantom looks like a very good all
round entertainment appliance that would be suitable for a range of things
and not just games. But I guess he would not see even that fact.
