try this:
Crystal Update Step by Step
CIS HelpDesk : Manny & Don
Update your Crystal Viewer on your machine. It may not update correctly with
some older version of Crystal Viewer.
Here are the steps required in order to resolve this problem. This is for
people who get a blank screen when trying to view the report, as well as
those that get errors after having exported to Excel. It turns out that you
may have an older version of the CRVIEWER.DLL file on your machine. Thus
we need to find it, un-register and delete the file. First do a search for
the file, if you find it and the version number is lower than 7.0.100.52
than open a DOS prompt. Go to the directory where you found the file, then
type regsvr32 crviewer.dll /u. Once this process is complete, you need to
go and delete the file. If you have these 2 files on your machine
(SVIEWHLP.DLL,SWEBRS.DLL) than you need to do the same thing. Once this
is complete, you can go back on the site and try the report again. If all
your settings are properly configured than the file should automatically
download and you should be able to view the report.

Dharmesh,
Thanks for the quick repsonse. We have been looking at the "U2" files. I
will try your procedure as well and let you know. This is one hell of a PITA
problem, as it is only affecting perhaps 5 users (out of 800 or so), but one
of them has the ear of the CFO, so it must be fixed. I will let you know
what happens. Thanks again.
