Wednesday Gibson's Passion will come out and there are some who are worried
that it will cause anti-Semitic attacks. The more I think about it the more
I know that it will not. Why? Because it's a movie. Fictional entertainment.
It has as much to do with the Christian Bible as Pirates of the Caribbean
had to do with the 17th century. People don't go out and riot over works of
fiction. If you have faith in people's ability to know the difference
between a movie and their religion, then you have nothing to fear. Despite
my low opinion of humanity in general, I still think we can tell what's real
and what's on the screen. At least that's my hope. :)
As for my final word, I'm just going to parrot someone else's and ask:
"I wonder how much money Gibson's going to make off of the crucifixion".
