CFMX code is compiled - you're not running CF code, you're running Java
code. This is why CFMX code "runs fast" - and is exactly the same reason
that .NET code "runs fast". The marking of the code just seems to be thrown
in there. of course code to be run on the client will "run fast" on the
server. ;^)

Subject: RE: ColdFusion VS ASP Point 5
Point 5: Run Environment Structure
ColdFusion
A ColdFusion application requires a cold fusion server, IIS server and
database server. In general, it is lengthy to run the pages.
VisualStudio.NET
.NET requires an IIS and database server. These applications run fast
because the components are already marked to run either at the client side
or the server side.
