 Hi David.  What's the motivation for having `y` paired with `lat`?  In
 other words, how might the ambiguity hurt us?  `node_coordinates` and
 `coordinates` are two distinct representations of the feature's geometry,
 and they would be interpreted independently of each other. For a polygon,
 `coordinates` would represent a point while `node_coordinates` would
 represent a polygon, so you'd be pairing all the y-coordinates from a
 polygon with a single latitude value.
