I am able to write off my commutes from my home office to clients and I do the commute often times 5 or more times a week and the bulk of my work is done for the same client. The CPA is the one who figured out how to apply that and what I am able to write off is the cost of the commute. But just because he found a way for me, I would not count on a way being there without first talking to whomever was going to be doing my taxes.
