Here's my suggestion:

When dealing with middle or upper managers for a job, nothing hits home like
a snazzy PowerPoint. This is, after all, their native language. What I
suggest is trying to get some feel for the business benefits your intranet
applications have produced, and packaging these in a PowerPoint with graphs,
etc.. Then you can show this at your interview. When interviewing with IT
managers, you can throw in some slides about the technical challenges you
faced and creative solutions.

I am in the exact same position. I am currently located in New Mexico, but
am actively trying to find a job in Cleveland, Ohio (hometown), as I am
tired of being out here in the middle of nowhere :^). It's hard enough to
find a job in a city where you haven't located yet (trying to sell my home
first), but without live urls there's not much to prove I know what I say I
do. Screen shots just don't compete well with live sites...
