Please apply with your cover letter and resume to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Job responsibilities: - uses ColdFusion MX and ODBC-connected databases to create dynamically-generated web pages - researches current web-based solutions to providing information and transactions on the web - assists with daily maintenance of www.students.ubc.ca and www.ubc.ca/okanagan/students websites - researches software and hardware solutions to problems - prepares flow charts, reports, and programming documentation - researches and recommends best practices for usability, accessibility, and navigation - modifies templates for web pages for individual units and programs web-based interactive applications Required skills: - university degree in relevant discipline, plus a minimum of one year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience - knowledge of dynamic page generation with ColdFusion MX, including components, custom tags, and configuring ColdFusion Administrator - experience in website design (XHTML, graphics, and scripting) - knowledge of browser standards, common plug-ins/helper applications, and related design issues, especially developing accessible pages - knowledge of database-driven application development and SQL - multimedia experience, such as Flash programming and understanding of technical considerations regarding various multimedia formats (QuickTime, Real, Windows Media) - organizational and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks and manage timelines Compensation: Competitive salary and excellent benefits package.
