Haven't had the good fortune to try this with PHP, but it does work with
JSP's on Linux with no problems. We just went live with a site powered by
CF that had to use 3rd party JSP's for an essential component. This was my
first project in CF on Linux, and I was reasonably impressed by the ease of
the switchover from our NT dev server to the live Linux box.
After a bumpy start (the out of the box SQL and mySQL drivers are, of
course, garbage... but the updates seem to be holding up fine) we are
running smooth. We found that executing the .cfm's and .jsps from a .shtml
made our lives easier as the 3rd party vendor was developing at the same
time we were.
Jesse, if you had a hand in the implementation of CF on Linux, you have my
congrats!
