<reaching out through internet and placing hands firmly around Allaire's neck>

I have CF451sp2linux - on redhat 6.2

Scenario 1:
I have datasources verified....
I delete a datasource from the coldfusion administrator admin panel
I ./stop ./start
Looky there! the datasource is back!

Scenario 2:
I have datasources verified...
I change the server of a datasource from localhost to an external machine- it verifies
I ./stop ./start
Looky there! the datasource is set to localhost!

I've tried deleting a datasource, and recreating it... but as seen in datasource 1, it
doesn't matter - it doesn't seem to recognize the changes anyway!

Happy freaking new year Allaire, may you write some code in 2001 that doesn't require
complete understanding of the internal structure of the software so the user can make
simple changes like a database move.....

and YES, I am fully ready to insert my foot in my mouth if someone can point the blame
for this issue back at me.

<holding foot in hand, ready to bite>
