Update 2: It appears as though changes in the CF admin panel are not being
saved in
/opt/coldfusion/odbc/odbc.ini as I would assume they should be.

If I manually set a datasource to the new server in the odbc.ini, it doesn't
verify.

My take on what is happening -
for whatever reasons, when I make a change on the admin panel, it isn't
properly updating the odbc.ini file.
When I verify the odbc connection, it looks like it is good because it is
verifying the old information, and not the information I just supplied.

If anyone has a clue, I'm listening!
