If by "default" you mean the web server that CF MX provides on port 8500, no, you can just run the connector program "wsconfig" to configure CF MX and Apache to work together. I'm not sure where the connector is on Linux, but I'd guess it's in /opt/cfusionmx/runtime/bin/.
