I have to admit that I actually found installing and getting cfmx up and
running much easier on linux than with win2k. I've not had any major
problems yet (early days yet though), whereas on windows I was having
serious problems with the multihoming configuration refusing to work and COM
support (or lack thereof) and in particular the jdbc drivers refused to talk
to our SQL 7 machine.

One word of advice I'd give to any newbies on the linux platform is this:
RTFM and follow it to the letter - may seem obvious but I'm presuming most
of us cfmx/linux newbies are coming from a history of cf on windows and feel
we dont need to RTFM at all.

I kind of like CFMX in java. Lot of new things you can do in it that you
couldn't do before imho. I think everyone just needs to get used to it and
learn that it's not a bad thing.
