I un-installed CF5 and installed CFMX with no hitch.  You'll have to 
re-setup all your datasources, etc, but depends on how many you have.

er.. there's been a lot of problems?  I think the problems you're seeing 
are in regards to RH 7.3 or 8.0, 7.2 is pretty happy with CFMX.

You only need to apply CFMX updater 2 - my understanding is that CFMX 
Updater 2 is a cumulative patch (meaning, it contains all of CFMX U1 and 
CFMX U2).
