Many thanks for all your help regarding emptying the registry on ColdFusion 5 for
Linux.
Unfortunately, despite Steven Erat's suggestion of the 'Deleting Client Variables
Stored in the
Registry' Technote we still can't clear our registry.

I have done precisely as it says - downloaded the 'killclientvars.zip' file, unpacked
it and put it
into a folder called 'clientvarremoval' in the default virtual site on the Cobalt.
When you run
'get_registry_keys.cfm' from the browser (IE for Mac) nothing happens at all - it just
whirls away
for time on end. I have tried it on several occasions but no luck.

Could it be falling over as there is insufficient RAM on the Cobalt to empty the
registry? It has a
full 512Mb but seems to be using over 80% of it most of the time. Is there no other
way that we can
just clear out this file?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Matt.
