I'm not entirely sure it's fair to shift *all* the blame to CF for your problems. MX has definitely had its bugs and issues, but most were resolved in subsequent Updaters.
Have you checked your Apache settings? The Apache 2.0 series has had numerous major bugs reported and fixed since its release as well. Maybe upgrading your Apache server to the latest 2.0.xx release (currently at 2.0.44) might resolve some of your problems. In fact, the last MX updater *required* Apache 2.0.41 or later to work, which would lead me to believe you don't have Updater 2 installed on your system. Further, your exact problem with source code being displayed was a known bug (#48982) that was indeed fixed in the Updater 2 release on 12/11/2002 (For more info, see the Updater 2 Release Notes on MM's site). >If your application is for a business critical app, I don't think mx on >linux is exactly ready for prime time. If your EULA don't require a very >strict uptime, it may be ok for you to run. Once again, I have to say that I just don't agree with that statement based on my personal experiences and observations with MX. I, in no way, mean that as any sort of personal attack on you. But if somebody is going to make a decision based on what people post to this list, I felt the need to share my positive experiences as well (since people don't usually post success stories to a tech help list!!). My setup: RH 7.2 will all appropriate patches and errata applied (2.4.18-18.7.x kernel), 512 MB RAM, Apache 2.0.43 Regards, Dave. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=14 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=14 Your ad could be here.
