First off, no offense taken what's so ever. I would be very happy if the problems were related or caused by something I have done, I can make those go away.
I initially tried to use the Updater with Apache 2.0.43, and it still wouldn't work. It kept giving me an error saying that I had the wrong version of some of the files. I backed up to 2.0.39 on the recommendation of someone else running 7.2 and 2.0.39 with MX, and still couldn't get the proper version of the files. Eventually they sent me the files that I needed directly, and it seemed to work. I applied the Updater 1 and had to replace those files again. I also applied Updater 2, and again had to replace the specific files by hand. This wasn't that long ago, but I was told not to go above 2.0.39 and not to upgrade the kernel beyond 2.4.7-10. Perhaps I don't know exactly where to look for the proper information on what is required by macromedia to make this all work out, but it seems as if I'm getting inconsistent information. I also don't think that the applications developed on the coldfusion are overly cutting edge of the technology's possiblities, maybe that's why I am more inclined to accept that it's just something that I have done wrong on the installation. Dave: Perhaps if you have anytime you could outline a brief synopsis of how your installation and susequent upgrades went. If this is becoming spammy to the other members on this dist-list, please feel free to email me solely at the email address above. I also appreciate hearing successful stories using RedHat, Apache, and coldfusion. You're absolutely right that too often success stories are never heard.
