Sorry Steve

This message didn't make it to my inbox so there's been a delay in me picking it up.

The problem has just occurred again. I followed Jessica's advice:

+ removed the files from the spool & undelivr dirs
+ cycled the coldfusion service

..and the its up and running again. There were NO odd looking files in either of the
mail folders (0 byte, 1 byte or invalid email address). I'll chuck these files back in
tonight when the site is not in use and see what happens. I expect it to crash again.

In answer to your questions Steven values of the top four settings:

+ simultaneus requests are at 4
+ timeout requests is checked and set to 120 seconds (there are a couple of heavy
pages that run for up to 90 seconds under normal conditions).
+ restart after 3 unresponsive requests is checked
+ restart when requests terminate abnormally is checked

The OS version is Redhat 7.2 (uname -rs = Linux 2.4.18-3), web server is Apache
1.3.29, database is mysql 3.23.52, the database driver is the standard Merant driver
that comes with CF5 and finally coldfusion is at 5.0.0.0.

Many thanks

Mark
