Many thanks for your reply. The mail server in question is running CommuniGatePro on a multi-processor machine with plenty of RAM. It should be able to handle this. I did query it with their support people and they said that the SMTP error was due to Coldfusion dropping the connection to the server. What setting controls this? I can see that it looks like I need to increase the Spool Interval - if I set this to say 180 seconds would it help the problem? I am happy to look at alternative programs but CF should be capable of sending 3,000 emails without losing them en-route - and we have a more than capable mail server. It is very frustrating! Any further thoughts would be very much appreciated. Thanks, Matt. P.S. I don't care how long it takes to send the messages - I just want to make sure that they all get delivered! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Silver Sponsor - New Atlanta http://www.newatlanta.com Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:14:3751 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/14 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:14 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.14 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
