This is a client-side web browser java plugin issue. What version of java are you using for your web browser that you're having trouble with? I can navigate the tree you give as an example w/o any problem on my workstation. I'm using the J2RE v5 that comes with slackware 10.1. I set up mozilla firefox to use it's mozilla plugin and it works just dandy.
