#4 CFMX7 - cfstat utility
When I try to execute cfstat (directly or with
/cfroot/bin/coldfusion status), I get no stats...just
a java exception:

#6 CFMX7/Apache dreaded CLOSE_WAIT
This is the most frustrating one for me.
After access to coldfusion pages, I am seeing
apache/coldfusion aparently not finishing their packet
exchanges.

Is it causing a problem with processing coldfusion pages or do you just
find it annoying?
I have a redhat 9 box that is running CFMX6.1 and apache 1.3.26 that
gets hit like gangbusters (our internal helpdesk ticketing system among
other things) and by default it spawns of about 70 cfusion processes and
I do see a several CLOSE_WAIT on a netstat -an. This thing is hit
city-wide by internal users and is probably our most abused coldfusion
server. We've never had a problem serving pages.
Lately with some extra stuff we've been abusing it with, the machine is
starting to show it's age. I just tweaked the simultaneous requests
setting and will restart CF later tonight to see if the box perks up a
bit during heavy load.
On our external webservers running Suse 9.2, apache 2 and CFMX 6.1 we
dont use CF as much on them, but they do still have a handful of
CLOSE_WAIT on them as well. Hasn't seemed to be an issue at all.
