As discussed in CF meeting 20th June 2018 in Reading, UK The requirement that if x and y spatial coordinates are supplied as projected coordinates then longitude and latitude coordinates must also be provided is a major source of concern for many data creators and leads to significant file size increases.
The relaxation of this requirement is backwards compatible and would make CF easier to use for many data creators. This Pull Request includes test to relax the requirement.
