Dear @johnwilkin Thanks. That's very helpful. Yes, I agree with you. `sigma` should be stored in the file in a variable named by `formula_terms`, as `zlev` is. In fact that is what Appendix D already specifies. It would be unnecessarily restrictive to require the sigma levels to be equally spaced.
