@davidhassell:

Thanks! this looks good to me.

Am am curious why you chose "network topology" rather than "mesh topology" --
I"m not sure it matters much but at least that wikipedia article is pretty
focused on the topology of communication networks which is pretty similar, but
not quite.

On the other hand, "mesh topology" is used for computer networks
(https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://www.computerhope.com/jargon/m/mesh.htm__;!!G2kpM7uM-TzIFchu!m0ctAe0cUVBEF_t4HBNY8OlXwmbUA3GUCl--BUxUGY5YFNQtVbK-_lz7bnjgYaE0QwYIii3FrK4$
 )

I have no idea if there's a standard term for what we mean in this case, but
modeling folks do use teh term "mesh" or "grid" in this context, and I've never
heard anyone use the term "network".

Though the GIS folks use "Triangulated Irregular Network"
(https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangulated_irregular_network__;!!G2kpM7uM-TzIFchu!m0ctAe0cUVBEF_t4HBNY8OlXwmbUA3GUCl--BUxUGY5YFNQtVbK-_lz7bnjgYaE0QwYIJzB7bx8$
 ) -- maybe that's where "network" came from?

The computer graphics folks use: "Triangle mesh"
(https://urldefense.us/v3/__https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Triangle_mesh__;!!G2kpM7uM-TzIFchu!m0ctAe0cUVBEF_t4HBNY8OlXwmbUA3GUCl--BUxUGY5YFNQtVbK-_lz7bnjgYaE0QwYIgNZ3RWk$
 )

So there's president for that, too.
