Or if you do not want to install IIS, You may even use the built in web
server in CF MX.

In that case - Make sure you select the right option while installation
to install JRun.

Right Ben?

I recently installed ColdFusion developer's version on my lap top (XP
Professional). It was a total snap. Just ran the installer and followed
the instructions and it worked. Since XP Pro has IIS you don't need to
install the stand-alone CF server. However, if you are like me, and your
laptop does not have IIS installed by default, you will have to goto the
Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel and add Windows Components (select
IIS).

I didn't need to set up anything before hand.

Hello all,
I am fresh to the field of CF, and to allot of the server world. I
have sucessfully setup a small apache server at home, got reading a bit
about cfusion, flex, jrun, things of that nature, saw some of the really
cool apps that are possible, so i figured i would try to set another
small laptop to handle the cfusion, flex2 and jrun. I list these
because from the info that i have read, they can all be loaded on the
same server. My question begins from the start actually, how is the
best way to attack/handle loading these programs. I don't have MS
server O/S, just using IIS probably. I'm kindof looking for a really
good plan of attack for these, what i need to setup before hand and
such. If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be
great. I've read a few posts with notes, but some seem to contradict
when it comes to things of java, which i'm really new on. Thanks in
advance and have a great day.
