Hmm.. What port are you trying to run the App Server at? It should by default be 8300 or something.

No problem, from the options i choose standalone server, and then the radio button that chose the build in webserver option. Just to see if i can get it running, i chose not to install IIS this time at all. I was able to find two different log files, looked like one was logged for the initial install, under each process it noted "successful". The other log, i wish i did save, it appeared to be a service config log maybe? but the only thing that was noted odd in the log was phrase, "CORBA not configured". I think i threw a copy of the log somwhere else, i will see if i can find it. I'm looking through other things and noticed that the JRE and SDK i am running are higher versions that the ones that are posted on adobes site for being compatable. Should i stick with vs.1.3/1.4? >Bryan - Would be better if you could post the exact error you see in log >file and also apprise us what did you select from the options available >to install Standalone CF Server or J2ee or what? > >Thanks. > >-Sandy Vohra ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Introducing the Fusion Authority Quarterly Update. 80 pages of hard-hitting, up-to-date ColdFusion information by your peers, delivered to your door four times a year. http://www.fusionauthority.com/quarterly Archive: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Newbie/message.cfm/messageid:2160 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/groups/CF-Newbie/subscribe.cfm Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.15
