I don't know of your operating system (NT?  98?), but A few possibilities.

  Did you get an errors when launching the server?  Are you sure the CF module loaded 
properly?
  Did you look at the page:   CFDOCS/index.htm
  There is link off that to verify your CF installation.


   Did you set up 'index.cfm' as a valid default homepage?

   You may want to add entries to your host / lmhosts files.  If everything is local 
I'm pretty sure that should have no effect, but it's worth a shot.

   If necesarry, I could take a look at your http.conf.  I anticipate the problem is 
in there.
