...sounds like DUN setting. In the properities for your dial up
network connection, makesure you do not have 'dial this connection for
all network activity' checked. NOTE: the quoted verbiage is way off,
I do not have a M$ 2000 box in front of me nor a DUN setup. Anyhoo,
the settings say something to this affect. I had this same problem
once.

It returns http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/Administrator/index.cfm after I tell
it to
connect following the
"can not find page" prompt.
When I tell it to connect I get the dial up window !!!!
When I say work offline i get page not found error.

Tim,
if you put in the page that you are looking for...does the server
return the
page?
ie:
http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/Administrator/index.cfm
or
http://yourSite/index.cfm <--- or whatever your default page is named?
I noticed that after I had installed the patch for the Code Red Worm
that
IIS stopped recognizing that index.cfm was the default page. I had to
go
into admin and delete index.cfm as the default page and then add it
back in.

All of a sudden I'm having problems with my PWS, after it running with
no
problems for ages.
For some reason it cant find pages in any of the virtual Directories
that
have been mapped in it.
It always brings up the Dial Up Modem window because it cant find
anything
in the localhost !!!!
Even the http://127.0.0.1/CFIDE/Administrator/ page can't be found and
I get
the std error
HTTP 500 - Internal server error
Internet Explorer
Can anyone suggest any possible causes ? I'd be most grateful
Regards
Tim
