I appreciate the advice, but I'm actually looking for an answer as to
whether or not anyone knows for certain if the WIN2KAS UPG CD can
upgrade a regular NT 4.0 install or does it _have_ to be NT 4.0 ENT.

Whether I do it or not is actually irrelevant...I would just like to
know if the ENT version is absolutely necessary.

Best advice : DO NOT UPGRADE especially from an inferior NT build.
Clean re-install is your only realy option for stability.
