Thanks to you guys for your help!

First thing is that somehow the connector & webconfig utility gives the dreaded 
message about the CFMX service/jndi.properties file even though that has been 
checked more than twice.

Secondly, the CFIDE folder is there in the IIS root & scriptsrc text box in 
CFMX admin  has the value of /cfide/scripts/ ...the first / refers to the 
webroot which in my case is localhost, so yes, all the configured websites have 
access to this folder.

As regards the code part, I don't think it is an issue since even the MM's own 
getting started kit's code snippet menu is also not visible.
Would have loved to posted the URL but it is just my home machine where i m 
trying this out, for a new client who wants his employees to input the data 
from a single page (this is where the flash forms come in). 

Steve: Thanks for the fiddler link.. haven't been able to try it as of now but 
it might be of help if you can send me the settings you had while installing 
CFMX7 on your win2k3 box.
