I've taken the route of importing for Outlook Express to Outlook, exporting
to a DB file, then importing into my SQL Server box (using DTS) where they
are indexed and searchable. I'm planning on messing around with the natural
languae search facilities of SQL 7 for access, but for now am doing it the
old fashioned way. Works quite well, actually.
Not sure with MSDE how to do the import (does it have DTS?), but I'm sure it
could be done.
The step I would like to be rid of is the Outlook Epresss to Outlook step
(though once every few months is no big deal-- my mail is all IMAP so I
basically just have to start Outlook up and wait a little while, might be
harder with POP folders), but I have never figured out an OE to DB
conversion.
