Well, well, well .... Windows never fails to impress me.
Right now I'm testing a new server we've been setting up for the past =
week or so, and I've come the conclusion that OLE DB hasn't been =
installed properly. I downloaded the MDAC Com Checker and when I check =
to see which OLEDB components are installed I get a CoCreateInstance =
failed error. So, I figure I could just download MDAC and reinstall, =
right? Not the way MS planned things out - I can't install the most =
current version of MDAC because Windows insists I already have it =
installed.
What's the easiest way to proceed now? The only option I can see it to =
reinstall Win 2000 and hope the OLE DB stuff gets installed the second =
time around. Anyone have any better options?
