We've got much the same setup, however, I would also add in the caveat that 
your database system performance will also be fairly dependent on hard 
drive performance.  So take a look at RAID-5 setups with at least 7,200 rpm 
(and preferably 10,000 rpm) drives.  Drive seek times will effect many of 
your queries and drive transfer rates will effect large results sets.
