The performance increase numbers also vary depending on which OS you're
using, and how well that OS has been written to take advantage of multiple
processors. I'm willing to bet there would be very different numbers if you
compared the performance increase of going from 2 to 4 processors between
NT, Linux, Solaris and BeOS.
