Congrats do go to Jessie for helping build a great release, but these numbers were not 
meant to compare between platforms. The configurations are too different.

I don't want to sound stupid, but where did you find that?  The Windows boxes were 
running a completely different setup than the Linux box:

Win2K: 2 500Mhz PIII Xeon & 512 MB RAM
Linux: 2 933Mhz PIII & 512 MB RAM
