I don't think that the meaning of his question was how you interpreted
it. I think Jochem was (or at least this is the way *I* read it) simply
trying to see if the documentation would have skirted some of the issues
you found with this install. Or if RTM would not have helped enough to
be useful.
Correct me if I'm wrong. But I don't think that he meant "RTFM and all
things would be clear." My impression was that he was just trying to
clarify.
Just my .02...
(And, I think that not all issues would be solved by reading the
manual... btw.)
