also one more thing...i know its a story
told by few....but....the dollars are out
there to be made....you just have to network
and get from behind that computer monitor
to find them...we can never make a dime sitting
behind the monitor forever! we must get out there
and network, and make friends and put ourselves
out there in front of the spending few ;)

i did it on the golf course.....how do you do it?

i have to add my .02 cents now.

i program cause it pays insane amounts of money.
using cf and sql (i guess im one of those cf'ers who
knows sql)i have made a real estate mgmt piece, and
a few other small backend apps, that i sell/resell/modify
tweak etc...and work at home doing it. now, this
is apart from my FT job at www.navtrak.net but as
tony, the revolution web design guy, i can now buy that
2000sqft house in the woods, and live a great life....short hours -- no!
but, payoff in the end....F*** COLLEGE, F*** A DEGREE
THANKS ALLAIRE, THANKS MACROMEDIA!

I think you misread the intent of my statement:
http://www.dictionary.com/search?q=irony

The funny thing is, before I became a programmer, I worked with other
programmers as a technical writer; I saw the insane hours they put in
and
swore up and down that I'd never be so stupid as to become a programmer
myself. And then, the internet became popular, and ColdFusion made
programming easy, and I got sucked into the "programmer lifestyle". So,
thanks a bunch, Allaire. If it weren't for you guys, I'd be a lawyer
right
now - and I'd be somewhere other than in front of a computer right now.
