When you ghost a machine, the new machine will have the same SIDs (and machine names) by default. If you want them both (the original and the new machine) to belong to the same NT domain or AD forest, you'll have some wacky problems. However, most ghosting programs come with SID changers, which you can run after the ghosting process to change both SIDs and machine names. The SID changers work pretty well, actually.
