Dave - what happens with the SID of a 'ghosted machine'?  Doesn't that cause
conflicts in AD?

Fortunately, there isn't much to it - I've had very little trouble with the
archiving stuff, as long as everything's identical between CF installations.
If some pieces of information are different, you may have to edit them
directly after restoring the archive.
