Use GoDaddy.com, either directly or set yourself up as a reseller. I used to just let clients deal with domain names themselves. Didn't want the hassle. Then - since they always bugged me to help them with it anyway - I became a reseller. Transferring over domains, or registering new ones for clients at $15 a pop, I've made something like $2000 in the last 4-5 months on a revenue stream I used to ignore.
