This is getting a bit OT but I have just come back from the Australian ESRI user conference. Ewen Cameron (ArcObject lead developer) states that ESRI are in the process of sepating out the non-user interface ojects from the ArcObjects soup and are planning to run these on Unix around ArcGIS 9 (They actually call it ArcServer 9!). Unix lives!
