Well I've got the SDK in there and specified -server on the JVM arguments. There's a noticeable difference in the time it takes to startup cfmx now but other then that it seems fine.

On windows: In the SDK there are two JVM's server and client. If you download the JRE you only get the client jvm. I'm not sure if this applies to other platforms, I haven't checked, I would love to know if you wouldn't sharing how the Solaris jvm's are distributed. It is very possible that you will see performance differences, I haven't done any tests though so I can't say for sure. The server optimized version *should* run server applications (like ColdFusion) faster than the client version though. _____________________________________________ Pete Freitag CTO, CFDEV.COM http://www.cfdev.com/ ______________________________________________________________________ Signup for the Fusion Authority news alert and keep up with the latest news in ColdFusion and related topics. http://www.fusionauthority.com/signup.cfm FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists
