While I agree that these posts are affecting the technical
signal-to-noise ratio, I don't think that simply trying to move them to
other lists works. Most people don't want to have to subscribe to new
lists especially when some of those lists have tons of posts with no
relation to CF e.g. CF-Community.

My suggestion is that people simply add "[OT]" to their posts and anyone
who isn't interested in the off topic post can ignore it or better yet
write a rule to handle it.

Finally, I would like to add that rejecting posts to a thread that has
been going on for weeks without warning is a poor way to handle the
situation.
