I'm running it on Windows XP and Windows 2K with JSDK 1.4.1 and have no issues with crashing on exit. There are some problems on MacOSX with JDK 1.4.x but that's because Apple hasn't finished up their Java 1.4.x implementation - still a preview release. Haven't put 1.4.x on Linux yet, but it's running fine for me under Windows.
