Yup. I have a search tool that has to work on 4 different db platforms (Access, SQL Server, mySQL and Oracle 8i/9i) using the same code and on servers where the developer may not have any sort of CF or db admin access. LIKE is, I believe, the only thing I can use that fits that bill. Don't like it but don't see a practical alternative. Definitely going to look into platform-specific solutions down the road, tho'. --Matt Robertson-- MSB Designs, Inc. http://mysecretbase.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?forumid=4 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/index.cfm?method=subscribe&forumid=4 FAQ: http://www.thenetprofits.co.uk/coldfusion/faq This list and all House of Fusion resources hosted by CFHosting.com.
