I have personally witnessed two instances where clients of mine were running
CFMX and their CDATA/CGLOBAL tables were not being purged.

I know that one of my clients upgraded from CF5 to CFMX instead of a fresh
install, not sure about the other one.

Perhaps that has something to do with it?
