And you can't spoof logfiles? IP adresses? Browser identification strings? The way it usually works with stuff like maps is that you file some document with a lawyer/court that describes a number of intentional errors in the data you provide. If the same errors show up elsewhere, you have a strong case. For text, there are tools that automatically compare the % similarity between the texts.
