What prompted the question is the following except from the CF 4.01
docs:
An Application.cfm file is first searched for in the template's
current directory and then in
the parent and ancestor directories by traversing up the file
hierarchy. Since traversing
up a file hierarchy is a very expensive operation execution of
an OnRequestEnd.cfm
template is restricted to the case where an OnRequestEnd.cfm
file is placed in the same
directory as the Application.cfm file of the executing
template.
Is what they are saying simply not true because of caching?
